I had no idea the memorial was there and I only went with a friend who's stag do it was the night before as we were kicking around with not much to do!Abwehrschlachthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17947283932230918452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297968378523143704.post-58837614305032541282013-04-01T19:34:43.378+01:002013-04-01T19:34:43.378+01:00Thanks again! I do find that there are hard edges between camos, and wondered how to get rid of them. It always amazes me how people stumble on these kind of remedies for modelling. Like the Power of Dettol when it comes to stripping figures, which is something I only learned recently!Abwehrschlachthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17947283932230918452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297968378523143704.post-58495832810377974962013-04-01T19:06:59.649+01:002013-04-01T19:06:59.649+01:00Thanks for the pictures, my Dad was a member of th...Thanks for the pictures, my Dad was a member of the 508th PIR during the Battle of the Bulge.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13341927389713683230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297968378523143704.post-42235325677138754022013-04-01T18:46:11.662+01:002013-04-01T18:46:11.662+01:00Well, you've done good!

It was reading his book that I learned that if when brushing airplanes or vehicles, and there were some slight color distortions, especially where camo overlaps occur, giving the model a coat of Future Floor Wax would make these areas seem to blend together/lessen the "picture-framing." In most cases this method has worked for me. As a brush painter, if you've encountered something like this, I encourage you to give this method of hiding flaws a try.

Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601444762722458674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297968378523143704.post-46901222919281950322013-04-01T17:51:18.461+01:002013-04-01T17:51:18.461+01:00Thanks Jay, I paint everything by hand, I have nev...Thanks Jay, I paint everything by hand, I have never really used airbrushes so I am little scared of them...Abwehrschlachthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17947283932230918452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7297968378523143704.post-22819831207359208232013-04-01T17:50:08.144+01:002013-04-01T17:50:08.144+01:00Nice job.
